Situated in eastern part of the Mediterranean Region, Osmaniye is neighbor with Gaziantep of the east, Hatay on the South, Adana on the west, Kahramanmaraş on the North. It covers an area of 3.767 km² and is 20 km away from the mediterranean Sea.
Although proclaimed a province fairly recently, Osmaniye is inhabited by 479.221 people, making it Turkey’s 42nd most populous city, according to 2010 census.
The organized industrial zone within the city of central significance to the city’s economical life. The city has been economical invigorated by domestic and foreign investments, made possible thanks to 1196 incentives, and enjoying growth in iron and steel, fiber and peanut industries. It is home to more than 100 manufacturing plants.
